NOTICE TO PORTSMOUTH WATER AND FIRE DISTRICT CUSTOMERS
The Portsmouth Water and Fire District will be flushing water mains from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. per the
following schedule:
| April 7 | Willow Lane, West Shore Road, Bristol Ferry Road to Botelho Drive and side streets |
| April 8 | Bristol Ferry Road from Botelho Drive to Bayview Avenue, Boyd’s Lane to East Main Road and side streets |
| April 9 | Common Fence Point area |
| April 10 | Child Street to Boyd’s Lane and side streets, including Viking Drive area |
| April 14 | Island Park area |
| April 15 | Hummocks Point area |
| April 16 | Sprague Street, Freeborn Street, Turnpike Avenue and side streets to Aquidneck Place |
| April 17 | Child Street to Immokolee Drive, Water Street and side streets |
Discoloration of the water is expected during and after the flushing. Flushing in one area may create discolored water in other areas. Customers are advised to avoid washing clothes and those with hot water tanks are advised to avoid drawing hot water during the flushing hours and until any discoloration has cleared. It is expected that the water will clear by midday after the flushing. Customers may also experience low water pressure during the flushing.
